Sony DSC-W220


Digital cameras seem to be popping out of everywhere as people want to capture moments easily with just a point and shoot.

Sony today announced the release of another digital camera in their existing W series of digital cameras, the Sony DSC W220. The W220 is one of the high end models of the W series and that makes the line with 4 models to choose from.

The DSC W220 is said to do make use of its great imaging features to enable users to capture great pictures easily. The great feature on this digital camera that Sony is proud of is its Instant Scene Recognition ability that enables the camera to choose which right scene setting to use since most people don’t have time to change it when they want to take a picture fast or doesn’t know the difference between the settings available in their camera. Another thing is its Dynamic Range Optimizer that balances exposure and contrast to give a vivid and true to life colors to your photos. Sony’s Optical Steady Shot that the camera has will also make sure that your photos will be blur free and as sharp as it can be.

The smile shutter capability is a nice addition to the camera making it take the photo when everyone is smiling and it can also differentiate an adult from a kid!

Other specifications of the W220 is its 12 megapixels CCD, 2.7″ LCD display, 4x optical Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar zoom lens and a 15mb internal memory. The camera will sell for $190 and available in silver, black, pink and blue.
